Commissioned by the Festival Cinema Ritrovato, Chaplin’s most famous short, The Immigrant (1917) received its musical premiere June 30th, 2012 as their closing night’s festivities. The score was composed to the latest and most comprehensive restoration effort by L’immagine Ritrovata, and will be soon released on DVD as a part of the Chaplin Essanay/Mutual project with the Cineteca di Bologna and Lobster Films.
